Manila: A Marine has been banned by a local airline for causing undue alarm after he joked he was carrying a grenade inside his luggage. Marine Private First Class Jovane Mag-abo Ticano has been banned by the Cebu Pacific from boarding its flights, a report by the GMA network said.

The Subic Bay freeport inaugurated Friday Pacific Pearl Airways (PPA), a low cost carrier, with Philippine President Gloria Arroyo gracing the event.
